Stunning oil on canvas portrait of a very gentle looking lady.
There is something about her, which is immediately captivating, she has a subtle yet gentle warm presence. The detail within her clothing is so beautifully painted, showing the folds in her lace at her neckline. It has inscriptions on the wooden panels on the reverse and has a name and is dated. However we can’t decide for the language. Could be French, Belgian or Dutch. She really is such a gorgeous piece. Signed and dated 1913.
